1. How many devices could be supported by the router/repeater?

The home router and repeater could support about 16 devices to access in normal situation. Of course it could allow more devices to access. But the performance will be slow down accordingly.


2. How to judge the router/repeater working normally?

By checking the light status:

Router:Power & SYS light ON, WIFI Light ON,It indicates working normally.

Repeater:Power Light ON,WIFI Light ON,It indicates working normally.


3. How to check judge the WAN or LAN port working normally?

The light ON of WAN or LAN port means working normally. Otherwise you need to check the RJ45 connector or ethernet cable if normal by trying new Ethernet cable for testing.


4. How to login the management web page of the router/repeater?

1) Use the phone or PC to access the router by WiFi or Ethernet.

2) Open the browser to access the router's default IP. The IP address is from user manual or the label on the router. For example, 192.168.10.1 or wifi.wavlink.com or http://ap.setup .


5. Forget the administrator password.

Press the reset key for at lease 5s to restore the router/repeater to factory status. Then use the default password to configure the router/repeater again.


6. What is main difference between 2.4Ghz and 5.8GHz?

1) 2.4GHz will be longer distance to cover more area than 5.8GHz.

2) 5.8GHz will be higher bandwidth and speed than 2.4GHz within short distance.


7. Why is WiFi speed is not stable? Sometimes very fast, sometimes block.

1) The WiFi strength or interference is changing.

2) The distance is changing.

3) The devices accessing router is changing.


8. System light or WiFi light is OFF.

Check the router's power adapter and replug it to reboot the device again.


9、Repeater and router is nearby, but could not access the internet.

1) check the password if correct.

2) check the DHCP service is ON.

3) check the password if there is any special character. If yes, remove it and use the general character only, such as letter, number.


10、Repeater is working ok. But someday it could not connect to the router normally.

1) Check the router's SSID, password whether change. If yes, need to configure repeater accordingly.

2) Shorter the distance between repeater and router.

3) Reset the repeater to factory status and configure it again.


11. How to judge the device reset status if ok?

1) The Power/SYS light status will be changed from OFF to ON.

2) Scan the WiFi AP to find out the default WiFi SSID.


12、If Repeater could hide WiFi SSID?

Yes, the WiFi SSID could be hidden. But user need to input the SSID to login because the hidden SSID could not be scan out.
